| About
the Queazles...... |
The
Queazles (Erich, Schmeazle, Giorgio, Harvicle J. and Diesel) all hail
from
the Huntington, N.Y. area. They’ve been playing
together as The
Queazles for about four years, but their musical interconnections go
back over a decade. The Queazles enjoy performing in at least three-part harmony, and love to bring the music of many multi-vocal bands of the Beatle era back to “live performance” status. They don’t take themselves too seriously, but they DO take their music very seriously. (and their SPELLING: it's Queazles, not Queezles, Quezeles, Quezels, Kweezils or Kweazils. Also not that beautiful Central American Bird, the Quetzal! Thankyouverymuch.) |

Erich,
Richard and George started making music as a trio in the Summer of 2004
as a stand-by act for a concert in November of that year. At
that concert they performed one song: "Helplessly Hoping",
the
CSN standard. It was decided that they would share the bill
the
following year. The Queazles were 'officially' formed on July 10th, 2005, and, at that time, consisted of Rick, Schmeazle and Giorgio. They were named by Jazz-great Natalie Rae. There was no bass player, just an Acoustic Guitar and two Electric Guitars. After sitting through several rehearsals, their sound man decided that they really needed some bottom to their sound. So he bought a bass and learned how to play it. At their first performance, at Last Licks Cafe in November of 2005, the bass player was known as Queazle Wannabe. He became an official member of the group that evening. After a few more performances, Queazle Wannabe became Harvicle J. Queazle. And the latest Queazle, Diesel Queazle, joined the group in early 2008. Diesel is a drummer, singer, and all-around talented musician. |
